Was in Duane read the other day, and saw they're starting to carry Halloween junk, Picked up a plastic screaming skull for two bucks, pretty cool and decent quality for two dollars. Looking forward to some more good finds in the season. Anyone else spot anything cool yet? |

last year I found a bag of paper cut-outs, they were smaller versions of the ones I loved as a kid, the classics. Flaming skull, jointed black cat, glow highlight skeleton...it ruled. My daughter bought a bag of skulls, skeletons and bugs from Target last year, she plays with them all the time! |

Greasebat, were they the Biestle ones? I found some too, and was so excited! I am so disappointed with most new halloween stuff, all the crepiness is gone, and everything is too "cute" the "scary" stuff is corny. I guess like most things I'm relegated to turn to the past for things. |

Not cheap-os at all, but the local AC Moore just put out all the Halloween funky diorama things. They are motorized installations, there is a mummy one, and an old west one, Transylvania etc... Those things are pretty cool, but they are pretty expensive and I am actually uncertain as to what you do with them since they are so small. Maybe create a spooky table setting or something? |

Actually those were the bought part, I saw them for $8 bucks at a costume shop and it sparked my thoughts for the rest of the costume. The head piece on the Lobster is actually recycled from a Teletubbies costume I used once. I re-use all my little bits. Vombie wrote: cyborg lion gets the "WTF?" award! that's an awesome costume! I won $150 for it at a costume contest, beat a "sexy vampire" I felt like the human race was finally making progress that night. |
