Is there a way of linking a photo without first saving it to say photobucket then copying via the Img tag? I heard someone mention hot-linking? what is that?
thanks

Right click on the photo you want to post.
Click on Copy Image Location.
Then to paste the picture on the forum, use the following tags:
[ img ]Insert Copied Link Here[ /img ]
Remove the spaces within the [].
Hope I explained that well enough.

Alternatively, you can paste the same link, highlight it and press Img button located above the message body window.

hotlinking is essentially stealing someone else's bandwidth. a low traffic website like this one probably wouldn't raise any red flags on the 'hosts' end, but you could potentially be opening up the board owner/moderators here to additional headaches if the other person put up a fuss.

So not all images have/allow "copy image location" because when I right click I dont have that option, I have "save picture as"... and "copy" the other option "copy shortcut" is greyed out. Any ideas?

Are you able to Right Click and View Image?
If so, you can get the URL at the top.
You can use that to link the image.

You can also usually right click and choose 'properties' to get the URL.

You're right. I think you're pretty safe posting super7 images here. both sites are probably hosted on the same server anyway!

Nice piece you posted...wonder how long it is..
