i just recently read an article in archealogical review about a 14,200 year old piece of human shit. this facinated me. i'm trying to figure out how they found it. i mean, a clump of shit that old probably isn't very distinguishable. i can visualize the discovery right now:

"hey wait. is that shit right there? man, that looks like some really really old shit. lets look into this."

Fossilized shit is called coprolite.
I had a college professor who had one as a paperweight.
He keept student papers under it.

You gotta figure if you pay someone enough they can learn to tell the difference. I'm sure there's a whole process: Looks MAYBE close due to certain traits :: Grab sample do testing :: Testing returned, totally dooky!:: End Process.

That must have been some hunk of doo doo. I used to have those when I was a kid- but just the small stuff. Probably was from the dinosaur equivalent of squirrels.
