my cousin is getting married this weekend, and the dough i had to dish out for this is unbelievable! I'm a groomsman and my son is the ring bearer, so there goes a fortune on tuxes. Plus, there is the money i swung towards the bachelor party, the present, the rehersal/dinner get-up, money for beer at the reception, plus the time taken off of work lacking any vacation hours to cover it. man, I coulda got a hp skullwing for this loot!

on the otherhand, it will be a blast! my cousin is getting married to one of my classmates. so on one side i'll get to hang with my extended fam, which i'm really close with. and i'll also get a chance to reminisce with the peeps i grew up with all at once....

I swear only my mom was present at my wedding, where were you? We actually didn't drive thru, though it was an option. We went in and utilized the "Medieval" themed room because it featured swords on the wall and a painting of Death Dealer by Frank Frazetta.

Fat Elvis option too.

Pfft... Try being the actual Bride and Groom.

Crazy relatives, having to save money, having to spend money, surprise costs, etc, etc.

I completely agree with everyone else. Go to Vegas if your going to get married, because the whole song and dance is a total headache.

Hell her parents almost had nothing to do with our wedding because I wanted my friend to do the ceremony, instead of their pastor, who I had never met before.

Weddings... fugetaboutit

In my experience, weddings pretty much kill everything. Particularly when they're your own.
