I just scored Tall Tales by Al Jaffe and man its fantastic if you dig old school mid century illustration and.or mad magazine.  This documents a syndicated comic strip he had in the 60s that was vertical and used no words. The illustration is right on and his composition is incredible. Love his stuff. Another book that's awesome (and should be republished) is an early 90's collection of Harvey Kurtzman's 'Hey You!'. For some reason it sells used for $$$ right now. |
