does anybody do it? I've had the itch for a while now and can't shake it so I'm wondering what the safest place is online

i use betus.com f/ the sportsbook..I haven't used it for very long but no problems. Seems that with most the greatest challenge is getting money out of the account. I've even found it frustrating to get money into an online account. What kind of gambling are you
interested in?

My brother uses bodoglife.com and he seems to be pretty happy with it.

He plays roulette, worked himself up a little system, says he makes about 400 a month or so.

all kinds but mostly wussy games like video poker and slots, probably some blackjack, everything but craps since I never understood it.

So getting your money out is difficult? that's not good, maybe I'll just have to wait till I can get to Reno...

from my experience, yes. its super easy to deposit, not so much for withdrawls
i used to play online poker daily when you could just cash out to your bank account.
now sites require you to go through off-shore third-party "e-wallets"... its a total pain

I wouldn't do it...

I used to work for a company that made video slot machines, and while states that allow gambling have VERY stringent compliance regulations for every link in the chain from game manufacturers to the distributors, to the casinos, online gaming has virtually no safeguards for the players.

I haven't done much recent research on online gambling, but when it started, they were all run by offshore operators that were immune to the regulations that have been put in place to protect the gamblers.

If you want to gamble, go to Nevada, Atlantic City, or an Indian Casino... you'll be protected by all the gaming commission regulations, and you can go to a buffet when you run out of money. :D
