just wondering what people think of this
im still using XP but was thinking of upgrading as i dont have a genuine copy of windows and when windows try to automatically install shit it fucks up my comp
but from reading reviews it doesnt that ready yet

I'm a Mac person, but everyone I know who has dared run Vista has had nothing but headaches and have run back to Windows XP. In fact, Microsoft knows it. Their original timeline said they would stop supporting XP at some point... Now, they still update it. And Windows 7 is the next new thing; Vista was just a disaster.

I suggest getting a legit copy o Windows XP from NewEgg and then wait for Windows 7 to show up.

Or you can always get a Mac. ;)

i have vista and haven't had any problems
but then again, i only use the computer to go online, do the occasional illustration, and make word documents

thanks for the help i guess im going to have to get a real copy of xp then
im a pc person but was thinking when i get a laptop to go mac as i would want to it to run serato and produce tunes on it

Vista is fine on my laptop, it came with it. My PC is XP and I won't change it. I like Vista fine enough, there are some annoying things but nothing HORRID. From what I heard from a friend it only REALLY sucks when you upgrade from XP vs. the computer coming with Vista. Overall, too many bells and whistles that slow shit down, but you just have to take them off.

don't migrate to Vista unless your machine has 2gb of RAM minimum.

XP is best OS ever.

Having said that, I run Vista SP1 on both my Desktop and Laptop. Works Great. :D
