Hey I just found some old flyers for punk/etal shows from the Pensinsula back in the 80s.
On the first whipping boy flyer, Barom 1 antmen are featured prominently. They were used by the band The Indigo Zeros for thier album artwork and I never knew who they were until I came here.

On the 2nd flyer whos the other guy?

Yes, the first flier indeed features the Antman henchmen of Doruge from SUPERHUMAN BAROM-1 (1972), and yes, the second flier features the Doruge Demon, Okozeruge -- check out his profile, here: http://augustragone.blogspot.com/2008/0 ... eruge.html

LOL, it's funny that these images were used (I got Christ On Parade's singer, Barrie Evans, hooked on Japanese toys, and he was one of the first employees at Kimono My House), I just wonder where they got those images... As Bay Area bands, they must have gotten them from shopping at J-Town. But, what book or record did these images originally come from?

Thanks for posting these!

I saw Buford Pointdexter and the Junior Executives there but nobody remembers them. They wore business suits and had a single called "Capitol Gains Tax Increase Blues" LOL. Otherwise, they mostly did punked-up Stooges covers. Peninsula Punk ... good times.
