Awesome. I used to have that Critters poster on my wall back in the day. I also used to have a killer illustrated PUMPKINHEAD poster that was the coolest poster ever. I was hoping it would be on one of those pages. Got thrown out by my mom because it was "evil!" and I have been trying to find another forever.

that street trash poster kicks so much ass, as does the flick! the 3 posters for Tarantino/Rodriguez's Grindhouse were awesome too. but, this, i think, is my all time favorite:  especially the "They'll get you in the end!" tag line. classic! |

I loved this low-budget movie so much as a little kid. Bob Wilkins played it on KTVU's "Creature Features" several times. After the early '70s it sorta disappeared and could only be found on poor-quality VHS bootlegs for a long time. Now it's a Criterion title.  One of the most entertaining things about these posters is the copy on them, especially the pre-1980 posters. The one for "Silent Running" gives completely the wrong impression about the movie. It's seems like the copyrighter had 2001's byline "The Ultimate Trip" in mind, but mixed that up with the suggestion that the movie is about happy helper droids when it's actually a total Eco-bummer, replete with pretty-but-dippy Joan Baez songs.  Gee, I wonder what better-known movie poster this one is "inspired" by?
