Aw, too bad! She really cared about keeping things "Roddenberry" in the ST universe. Besides playing a couple of roles in the original series (Spock's mother and Nurse Chapel) she was also the voice of the Enterprise computer. If I understand correctly, she also gave voice to the computer in the forthcoming JJ Abrams re-boot. RIP |

I just read that myself...I wonder what her thoughts were on the upcoming movie... Kind of hard to imagine what a long strange trip the Star Trek thing would have been...lackluster beginnings and legendary history...and seeing Capt. Kirk marrying Stargate's Dr. Jackson on another TV show...wow... |

Oh, I hadn't heard... that's too bad  RIPI heard she was going to do the computer voice in the new Star Trek coming out next year. I hope they had already recorded...as I'm writing this I realized they can use her sound bites from every other Star Trek series  I just got to meet Leonard Nimoy from Star Trek last Friday...nice fellow. |

Sad news....esp as she never got to see the finished cut of the new movie. |
