I have an entire wall of my house that needs something on it. I have decided to purchase some of my favorite albums on vinyl, frame them, & hang them up on the wall. Has anyone done this? If so where is the best place to get the frames?

I decided to do this with my Led Zeppelin LP's. I usually get my frames from Aaron Brothers or Rasputin Music.

I have a couple of LPs in frames... which is no help to you at all since I can't remember where I got them.
I had a whole wall in my old flat covered in 7"s, I'll see if I can find a picture.
But I had them in vinyl sleeves and just bluetacked them to the wall, they aren't as heavy as LPs though.

I bought my frames from these guys.

I had to carve a little out of the back of the 7" frames to get the covers to fit. The 12" frames work with no problems.

you can get 12" record frames at michaels: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/disp ... Num=fl0077

if there is one by you or also at bedbathbeyond i think as well. i think they are probably cheaper then ebay thing but not sure how the quality is.

I'd have a serious problem focusing on the monitor with all those glorious distractions behind it!

Hey brooks, michaels is the cheapest I believe. they have them half off all the time. Single 12'' l.p. frame $10.00 reg price, Double album frame $20.00 reg price. They are half off every other week. Plus they have 40% to 50% coupons in the sunday paper once a week. I have alot of records framed and they work great. They come in black, red, or white frames. Or you could paint them. I hope this helps.......

Michaels is constantly having sales on these frames.

It looks really good in the house and is a nice way to kind of frame stuff up.

Went to Michael's and picked up some. Ordered some LP's Saturday night while drunk ebaying.

Here is what I have so far.

On the way:
Isis: Oceanic
Cult of Luna: Somewhere Along The Highway
Opeth: My Arms, Your Hearse
Opeth: Morningrise
TOOL: Undertow
Planes Mistaken For Stars: Mercy

I wanted to get some more metal oriented covers, but my family would complain about them every time they came over so didn't want to mess with it. Basically tried to pick some of my favorite album cover's from some of my favorite bands that wouldn't offend anyone.

i have these 5 vinyls framed in a row down the hallway of my house (in this exact order):
she & him "volume one"
judas priest "screaming for vengeance"
highwaymen "s/t"
exodus "pleasures of the flesh"
sense field/onelinedrawing "split lp"

i bought some square frames at wal-mart for around 5 bucks each. they were about 2 inches to big both ways, but some black construction paper made for a pretty descent matting.

and the sense field/onelinedrawing record would be great for a bunch of collectors of this forum, even if you don't know or even like the bands. it's one of the coolest toy related cover artwork pieces i've seen:

(i couldn't find a bigger pic anywhere on the net. i mean, i probably could, but i don't really feel like putting that much energy into it...)
