ok I heard today that the seven gates of hell are all covered in fulci's films

the seventh gate is under a house in new orleans in "the beyond"

does anyone know what movies the other six gates are in?

i always thought that The Seven Gates of Hell was just the alternative title for The Beyond. That movie is crazy, so maybe the other 6 are in there somewhere too. because i have seen a ton of fulci flicks, and i don't remember any more gates to hell in any of them.

I have copies on vhs and dvd under the title of The Seven doors of Death
He also made City of the Living Dead which had the alternate title of The Gates Of Hell.
I'll have to dig out my Fulci Bio to find any seven gates / seven movies connection.

and don't forget the extremely low budget sequel, Gates of Hell II...but that one wasn't done by fulci....

Yeah, I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be grouped together or if it was just an un-official idea..

Yeah, it's always confused me the way the Italian directors have different film titles depending on the country that the DVD/poster is from.. luckily, the local hardcore video store has stickers all over the DVD cases for each movie with "AKA: blahblahblah" for showing you the alternative titles.

i was confused with the whole zombie (US title, stand alone title in US) & Zombi 2 (Italian title, being the italian sequel to night of the living dead). So, therefore, does that make Zombi 3 actual Zombie 2 in US?
