Not always the cheapest, but for the past few years if I have the option I will only fly Jet Blue! That personal tv makes the flight fly by...no pun intended |

Pick an airline, get their credit card, and charge everything you can to that card. You'll rack up enough frequent flyer miles to give yourself a free trip somewhere ever year. |

I like Delta and Southwest for domestic US flights. Delta allowed me to change the time of a flight after I had purchased the ticket. Because the price was lower than the original ticket, I didn't even pay a penalty. I buy from the airlines direclty. No real need to go to Orbitz or such these days when the carriers ar so competitive. Southwest is good if you want to add a car rental to the flight. Their car prices seem quite competitive, but you might need to book several weeks or months in advance to secure the best deals. |

I've only ever flown southwest, but they don't fly to where I want to go on this next trip. |

if r u a student you can sometimes get better rates but there are some restrictions try: http://www.studentuniverse.com/fly/ i was only taking some classes at a local cc and that qualified me. i got a ticket to london for about $400 r/t. Otherwise i would use orbitz.com , hotwire.com, travelzoo, cheaptickets etc.... |

really, I could have sworn that I checked and southwest didn't go there anymore. I'll double check now. lurker, unfortunately I'm no longer a student. I wish I was because I've seen great student rates to japan. maybe I'll sign up for some classes. |
