are any of you close to a Hard-Off store? I heard they have super famicoms for about 300 yen only at some of the locations, and I just wanted to know if that was true |

That would be dirt cheap! When I was in Tokyo about 18 months back they averaged about 20-30 bucks, and the cheap ones were always very nasty and discolored. But you can play SFC games in a regular SNES...unless you just want an SFC. |

Does anyone watch Game Center CX? That made me want an NES/Famicom again. |

Its definitely not impossible. I haven't been to a Hard Off in a while, but I used to go pretty often when I lived down in Kyushu (they're a more "suburban" store so you don't really see them unless you go a little bit outside of the city). Hard Off has what they call a "junk" section, which is comprised of untested electronics that may or may not work and are sold for use as "parts". I could definitely see a SF winding up in the junk section for under 500 yen, but its pretty much Russian Roulette as to whether or not you'd be able to use it. |
