oh yeah. I have all of the original vinyl releases so it's good to have access to some MP3 versions! What's up with that post about the Mummies and The Gories touring!?!?!??! I would probably blow up if the Gories were really touring |

Okay, so dig this. The Mummies are playing (!) at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ on June 9th. post is here and damn, it looks like it's sold out for both shows The Gories are "touring" with The Oblivions although they're only playing 2 shows in the US (Detroit and Memphis, naturally) and a few shows overseas. Since I am a HUGE Gories fan then a trip to one of those cities is probably in my future |

Yeah, I saw the bit about Maxwell's and was thinking of going myself, but I don't know whether or not I'll be around then. Perhaps the tickets aren't sold out, maybe they're just not being made available yet and that link is a placeholder? Maybe a call to Maxwell's would straighten things out. |

The person who posted about the show on a different board (on March 11th) mentioned they had already picked up 2 tickets. I'm just going to contact maxwell's to see if they really are on sale and / or sold out... |

Even though I've been seriously thinning out my vinyl collection as of late (mostly to finance my other vinyl collection) my Mummies stuff ain't going anywhere. Same for Supercharger, any of the Planet Pimp junk, and anything Loli and the Chones ever put out. It'd be tight if the Oblivians came to Japan, but you know it'd be in some cramped club and there'd be a million billion OG 90's Garage Revival dudes standing around "enjoying the music" and not having fun. |

Sadly, I sold my Mummies LP's back a few years ago. I have everything in MP3 format, but I miss the vinyl! I never got the chance to see them live! |

dig it - my favorite label ESTRUS is re-releasing the Mummies first album (which I have on glorious black vinyl) in clear vinyl! Nice As for Supercharger, you can still get the albums for cheap from estrus. Here's the two they have: SUPERCHARGER: "Goes Way Out!" LP/CD ES127 SUPERCHARGER: "Supercharger" LP/CD ES1240 I'd recommend starting with their first album "Goes Way Out!", which is still a pretty classic lo-fi platter. If you like that then check out: Woggles "Teenage Dance Party" Insomniacs - any of their first three albums. SOLID Makers - anything before going to SubPoop and selling out Phantom Surfers, naturally And since I'm on a list, my Estrus faves: The Brood Crown Royals Electric Frankenstein Fallouts Galaxy Trio Gasoline (if you like guitar wolf, check out these guys) Impala (hell yeah!) Jack o' Fire Lord High Fixers man or astroman monkeywrench MonoMen (a MUST) Mooney Suzuki (before they went hippy shit) The Mortals (still, one of my favorite bands) The 1-4-5's (similar to Supercharger) Satan's Pilgrims Sewergrooves (fucking awesome 70's hair metal / hard rock) Splash 4 Teengenerate (a must) Trashwomen 5,6,7,8's Untamed Youth Watts (what monomen turned into) wow, looking back on it i've seen about 85% of these bands - what great shows |

The self-titled one is actually the first. It was originally released on Radio X records, which was run by Daren from Supercharger. Estrus reissued it a few years after they released Goes Way Out. Both are awesome. |
