Seriously, everyone needs to download it- its awesome. I am always amazed at how quick you americans are to catch onto ( what I thought was) niche U.K underground music. Anyways theres a link to it on the main page of the mishka site, also Its got the new hot tune on there which everyone is going mad for over here at the moment- In for the kill ( skream remix) youll know it when you hear it! Big ups! |

yeah this tune seems to be one of the first that is really breaking dubstep through- its getting lots of mainstream radio play at the moment. Lots of crossover appeal I suspose. |

yeah this has been a great mix, some of the mishka presents are so-so. Laroux and The streets remix are the best, just have to wait til the end to hear em! |

Yeah I agree with what your saying jebs- Funnily enough thats probably why it is doing so well commercially- because it has all the distinct dubstep 'sounds' stripped away and toned down- I mean without the vocals the tune is hardly remarkable- however the second drop is amazing, the amens take me right back to some 91 hardcore stuff! All in all I like the tune, and do like the vocal- I read somewhere Skream himself was amazed at how it took off- he didnt spend long making it at all apperently and it got leaked onto the net and really took off. Also- you cant test me on the rinse fm tapes- Ive got rinse tapes from '95! when the frequence was 91.8 and it was a jungle station. Funnily enough- I have never been to a dubstep dance, I had done raving by the time it was starting to take off, use to go to a couple of grime raves though- but bloody nora, you have never seen so much attitude! people letting off gunshots and allsorts in the dance! |

My problem with dub step is that I discovered it listening to Burial, and no other dub step dj has come close to being as good. |

Skream is more like Popstep to me, plus he seems to be a snotty little wanker. I fondly remember attending a Grime/Dubstep party with Cameo, Lady Fury and Bruza about three years ago - boy, was that some fucked up shit. You could hardly dance to any of it because the beats were so twisted. I loved the hell out of it. Since then, Dubstep's been pretty much commodified in my opinion... Have already downloaded the mix though and will give it a good listen for sure - the Mishka-hosted stuff is always interesting at least. |

Theres a DNB mix of the La Roux tune now aswell- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnPdP22HTS8 Admittedly the audio is bad quality ( as it is filmed live at a rave) but from what I can hear the tune is a banger! Its High Contrast playing and highly likely that it was him that produced it. |
