Does anyone in the know, know whats going on with all the V-Color suppliers ? Kaiju taro is out and wont get it back in for a little while, and hobby search which had a large stock this morning has since removed it from there web site. I'm very concerned and wonder what is going on. Not to mention I'm almost out of paint and I'm trying to figure out what to do next. Any one have any info they want to share ? |

I'm wondering if its possible for overseas order to be placed anymore. I know its illegal for us to buy this stuff, but it was never enforced. I'm also curious to know if its be taken off the shelves for toxicity. But depending on this stuff as its my major brand of paint is a problem. I use otehr stuff but this is the majority of what I use. I wonder if this is a back to the drawing board deal. |

Oh no! I bought a little extra when I heard about ICFSB...but it isn't going to last long! I still have a dempa to paint too. Any Idea when KT's getting more stock? Has anyone emailed them?? We may have to switch to automotive paints... |

Crap. I'm out of about 3-4 colors currently, and I've been waiting for K-T to get them in... I hope this doesn't become an issue. What paints do the "Professionals" (garamel, RxH, SB, etc..) use? I know that it must be different because they achieve colors I've never seen in V-color (like florescent pinks that are not matte finish). Here's hoping K-T gets their stock back. Phil |

Its not so much a shortage of V-color that I'm worried about, its getting it into the USA. I just hope this whole conversation is unfounded and K-T gets their stock back up! Phil |

mutant head^^^that is nice. hopefully we'll see it with bag and header florescents w/ a clear mix; that explains why kozik's RxH stuff looked matte. I always wondered why that was. |

You guys checking the KT site now? I see a lot of colors up there for purchase, some are out of stock, some aren't but there are some for sale. |

Yup, most of the pros use the exact same paint, just packaged in a "professionals only" way. Apparently there ARE some other colors available to the pros, though... |

Cupcakes, eh? Good luck with the shop! We've got a few cupcake shops in Portland that seem to be doing quite well. |

Not meaning to derail this thread any further, but Saint Cupcakes in Portland is partially to blame for my opening my own shop. Really great cakes! Just got tired of waiting for something of the same quality down here, so I decided to open one in my neighborhood. My wife and I can literally ride our bikes to the shop! Ok, I started a thread over here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28981 so as not to derail things further. Now back to the V-color problem. |

Regarding thinner....has anybody used acetone as thinner with any success? I use it only to clean with. I tried to sniff out what the contents of Vcolor thinner might be, but that isn't a great idea. Are there any folks out there who can translate the can for a possible ingredients list? Surely there must be a substitute.... P.S.
