810????????????????????????????????? unreal. And yes I know people should buy what they want etc etc...

But after being laid off 810 is a huge chunk I can't imagine to just sit on a shelf.

Beyond the sheer amount, I just can't see sinking that kind of money into one toy, especially one that just came out. I mean, $810 = 8 standard size toys or 13 fight figures.

"LOL What a crazy price, I can't believe more than 1 person would be willing to pay so much!"

"WHATEVER, It's not your money so what do you care?! It's no ones business to tell someone else what to spend!"

"Sure, you're right, but it's more about shooting ones self in the foot, if the bidders chilled and were all more patient crazy prices like this would go down. The buyers/bidders/collectors do it to themselves and than put everyone else in a shit position."

"That's stupid! That would never happen! Pay what you want, of course it's worth that much! If someone is willing to pay that much, it's worth that much."

"OK, I get your point, but what I'm saying is, is that the person willing to go so high (really persons since it crept so high more than 1 person had to put that number in) may be helping themselves, but are screwing others who are into these figures because now when more show up, instead of going for SLIGHTLY more moderate prices they'll peak at insane ones. Plus if they're interested in this line of figures, in the future they're screwing themselves by setting such a crazy high standard now."

"Who cares about everyone else? Psht, that's stupid! If you can afford it go for it!"

"OK, Well you're clearly missing my point, it's not about what someone can afford so much as setting outrageous prices and.....just....ok....you want to argue and NOT get my point, so forget it, I don't care. $810.00 please for my opinion. I take Paypal."

I just figured I'd cover the basics of what will no doubt go on in this thread early so it doesn't take up 5 pages right away.

That was a fun auction to watch from the sidelines.
I thought it would end around $300ish.

Back to my abyssinian cats, and sushi...

sorry for your troubles, bryce.

$810 for a just-released toy...wow. I just don't get it. I'm glad I'm not into Anraku too much.

Crap, and to think when GT had it for sale months back, I was trying to find ways to pay 250 bucks if I lucked out. I didn't btw.

I don't know why people are so surprised. what's the difference between this and a lot of you paying almost a grand for a two headed bemon?
there's an ass for every seat. if that seat is someone paying ridiculous prices for something like that, more power to them.

whine whine whine...find something new to do...find a new toy to look at...or, oh my god it's almost summer, maybe go outside for some fresh air?

It's really no different than someone paying $300 for a $60 fight figure.
This was the rage about two years ago. Can anyone say Ubiq or GID Mantis?

I've heard rumors of the aftermarket backalley deals prices and this doesn't suprise me at all.

There's a rumor that Anraku is actually a high school dropout who sculpts and works out of Kansas City yet maintains a contact in Japan who resells his figures.

I don't like fresh air...

It's rumored to be contained inside toys going for rediculous second market prices from within our own borders.

Seems like we have a new case of 'idiot of the week' every week here. My grandmother always use to tell me "A Fool and his money are soon parted". Hey but who am I to judge, if you have money like that to spare, go for it. I don't care if the toy maker birthed the toy himself, still not worth it in my eyes.

New kids research here first before spending your hard earned dollars, yen etc etc....
