I'm doing a film night in Islington, off Essex Road, piss easy to get to and as it's on a Monday, I promise to have you home early.

Aside from Tomb of the Blind Dead and Return of the Living Dead, we'll have pop corn and assorted yummy things and promises of inebriation.

This will be the first of many, next month will most likely be Blood Feast with the opener to be confirmed, further exploits into crappy cinema include Buckaroo Banzai, Hausu, Street Trash, who knows... the options are endless. The only rules are that you can drink, laugh and talk through the film, fuck it! It in a pub fer fuck's sake!!!

And, as an added bonus, if your a member of the Skullbrain board and you show up, I'll buy your first drink.

Sounds very interesting, i'm only in Walthamstow, so i may have to pop along. When will you be showing Buckaroo Banzai, the title really jumped out at me(even though i've never heard of it).
Is this your own collection, cos you have some gems there.

Well the plan is, we're starting the films at 8/half 8, exactly so that people can get back sarf before the last tube. Should be finished with the flick by about 10/half 10, plenty of time.
I'll be pissed and pretending I know what I'm doing, just come up and say hi.
There should be a couple people from 'stow, so you have no excuse! :wink:
just keep checking the bloggy thing and see what's next and when, but the first monday of every month is a good bet.
If you need help finding the place, pm me and I'll give you directions, but it's just off Essex Rd. piece 'o piss!

Sounds like a badass night. Wish they'd have some horror movie showings in a bar in my neck of the woods. The pub lifestyle doesn't seem to translate very well over here. :cry: Makes me wish I was back on vacation in England!

Hey backtrack, i'm not gonna make it down tonight. I've got zero money and i've had a bad day at the office. I need to go home and sit in a darkened room, while my wife strokes my head.

I will make it down on another night though. This is a monthly thing, is'nt it, so i'll get my arse down for the next one.

Place was packed actually. It went really really well!
I was kind of overwhelmed by how well it went to be honest.
Everyone loved it.
Really looking forward to the next one now.

wish I coulda hooked up with you guys while visiting my sister who lives in London...her husband is a big shot music producer, he just did the White Lies or something? Big deal over there? By the way, I absolutely love London, and being an "ugly American" tourist I never had a problem there, even while wearing my US Army dress uniform! People were great all around....I love it there, Can't wait to go back.

Hey Josh, really good to meet you last night. Sorry we did'nt hang around for the main feature, but we were both double knackered.
That short you showed was really out there, it gave us lots to chat about. I'm about to try and find "The Mystery of the Leaping Fish" on youtube, i don't know if i'll have any luck though.
