Post subject:  Toy shops in Seoul

I searched the board for any info on good toy stores in Seoul but could not find any.

Does anyone of you have good toy spots to recommend ?

If you have a time machine and go back to the 80s or 90s
Korea is THE place for incredible bootlegs.
Mind blowing stuff in wacky colors.
Nowadays Korea is somewhat of a toy dead zone as
very few adults collect toys here. Some do. A few. 5? 6?

Check out the huge indoor/outdoor mart just beyond Myongdong called Dong Dae Moon.
Good fakes but of modern stuff. Bootleg Sentai robots from 90s etc.
I recently spotted a batch of fakes using the old BanDai DaiRanger and Macross molds under
the series " The robot that changes ".

Kinkirobot has what you would usually find at a UK or US based
designer toy shop. We did a pink Ice Bat Kaiju just for them.
Very nice people there.
They have 3 locations, one small one at Coex.

In the COEX mall way back by where the theater exits are you will find
a shop with a heavy focus on Gundam models. On the other side by the Aquarium
you will find another toy shop with some imported US toys and kiddie stuff.

For Sentai toys and Kamen Rider in Korean packaging, check Lotte Mart
and E-Mart. Basically their version of Target.
We dont get the JP molds in the US anymore, so if you are into
Sentai robots, do check those out. Same quality with little to
no missing paint.
They have a few ToysRus locations in Seoul now too. Same stuff
found at Emart.

There are local mom and pop toy shops sprinkled here and there just outside Seoul
in pretty much any town/area but they all carry the same stuff toy
would find at E-Mart.

As for Kaiju, no. None.
I think our Ugydoll Kaiju pieces are the only Kaiju related
anything in Korea. At least I think?

I hope that helps a little.
To be honest I don`t buy toys here.
If you really want toys...I mean the real deal....
do what I do and take that easy 1.5 hour flight
from Gimpo to Haneda
and go to
