I would love to wear these but I'm more of an "I won't pay more than $40 for sneakers" guy.

I like the way you think!

Me, for years I've been rocking $10 velcros and...this is the part I don't like to admit...$80 combat boots. Oh, and hand-me-down moccasins.

These are all pretty cool but 240 is out of the question for me.

Hahaha yeah, $240 is waaay spendy for shoes but I think my biggest concern is being from the Pacific Northwest..We have a very big and strong population of staunch animal rights activists and PETA members and the last thing I want is someone yack my ear off in public because they think I'm wearin' crocodile skin shoes.

Says the man who will send $100+ on a vinyl toy... =)

Nah, me too. About $100 is my absolute limit for shoes. I try to check it below $80.

I'd be afraid to wear $240 shoes- Can you imagine stepping in dog shit with them? It pisses me off when I do that wearing $60 shoes, with those I'd be a least 4 times as mad.

Isn't that all of us? Plus I don't wear toys on my feet, the parts of my body most likely to make contact with gravel, mud, grass, concrete, etc.

Shoes are just for wearing for me, and I don't pussyfoot around so they get trashed.

these would be so rad if I were still 7 years old.

I think these are priced pretty well for collectible shoes. I wouldn't spend that much on shoes that are to be worn but if I collected them then yeah it's definitely worth it. The king lizoid's are the best.

I don't know the price range on collectible shoes, I'm just saying I wish there was a cheaper/bootleg version that I could buy/trash/look like a 7 year old with.

I'd wear the Mothra ones if they were more affordable.

I don't think I've ever heard the term "collectible shoes". Do people actually wear them? My wife has a shitload of shoes, and only wears half of them. Maybe that other half are the collectible ones...

Post subject:  Re: puma monster pack

Well...I guess designer shoes that are collectible. I've seen stuff and heard about people who collect shoes like toys. Some keep them mint in boxes and have closets full.

fair enough, to each their own. I have an office full of useless vinyl monsters, I suppose shelves full of shoes are no different. I just honestly didn't know there was a whole genre of footwear marketed as collectible. I learned something today.

Yea. I'd wear em because the other ones are all high-tops it looks like. Don't like high tops!

I'm in the "if they were cheap enough to wear I'd definitely pick them up" camp. I mean, those Mecha-Gojis and Mothras are sooooper tight, but I don't collect shoes and I wouldn't wanna wear them for $250. If you're riding the trains in Tokyo enough, you're bound to have your toes stepped on from time to time, or your heels kicked in the station. Not a huge thing if you're wearing shoes that were under 100 bones, but a much bigger deal if you're wearing something like that.
