I have a really old turntable and I'd like to replace it with a newer, pro quality one. I figured the best deals are online (as they almost always are), but don't know where to start and I'm sure if I just Google "DJ equipment" I'll get about a million results. I figured there are probably some people here that could make suggestions because I know some of you are into hip-hoppy street stuff, unlike myself who wants this to play old rock n' roll and mid 90's hardcore records. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks. |

You can find really good stuff on ebay honestly, or maybe a local pawn shop or second hand music shop. There is no need to buy any high end expensive turntable. All you need is a Technic 1200 Mk II ( mark 2) and a good headshell, cartridge and stylus. A Mk II is a workhorse and will last you forever if you take care of it. I bought mine second hand 8 years ago, and after heavy club use they still play like new and sound great. I have NEVER have a single problem mechanically with them. Also the receiver on which you filter the turntable through will also help clean up the sound a bit. |
