The Power of Satan compels me.
This is incredible.
Sabbath showing how they earned the epithet "Mighty".
Friday December 20, 1970, at the Olympia Theatre in Paris.
The "Paranoid" album was just recently released in the UK,
and would soon drop in the US.
Virtuoso performances by all four members.
I really wonder if they ever topped this:

Intro & Paranoid : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNppqUotW94
(Paranoid starts at 2.00)

Hand Of Doom/Rat Salad : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-dL9IG8Rss

Iron Man : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MII3ns2KTBc

Black Sabbath : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBpD2BdKNS8

N.I.B. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBpD2BdKNS8

Behind The Wall Of Sleep : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzcC5mQBWDs

War Pigs/Walpurgis : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtqy4DTHGqg

Fairies Wear Boots : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvuI8d57N9I

(Original seems to have been recorded by French TV,
and was shown (maybe in two parts?) on ITV in the UK.
A couple of songs have been released on DVD officially,
but never the whole concert afaik.
There are lots of uploads on YouTube to choose from.
Hope I picked some good ones.
To think, someone must be sitting on the Master Tape of this ... )

I like seeing Ozzy before he was "OZZY!" it's much more interesting than the cartoon he became.

Bill Ward is the f'n man!

These videos totally prove that Ozzy deserves to own 50% of the name Black Sabbath.

Fucking awesome. When I use the term "heavy metal", that's what I'm referring to.

Such an amazingly crisp recording. Love Ward's drum work on War Pigs and other tracks. Would love to buy the whole concert on DVD if it's released some day.

This was before they changed the lyrics of War Pigs, to the way they recorded it on Paranoid. Classic
