Huh... I went to work at the YMCA this morning and then paid you for a toy. Seems kinda mundane compared to your day |

I actually managed to purchase a gallon of acetone before the craziness started. Good thing I'm already stocked up on GID BB's, the shooting happened in the sporting goods section... |

This was at the Apopka location,... though they had another shooting at the one in Casselberry not too long ago. The great part is I've seen 0 media coverage, they're all too busy talking about the Orlando Magic tonight. WTF? |

It's really scary how kind of normal this seems. I had shooting in the middle of the high street the other night and it didn't make the papers at all, but the UK & US takes in reporting are vastly different. You you expect them to sensationalise a shooting over there. esp at something as easy as a walmart. |

Well, Florida is America's Australia after all. You're all a bunch of criminals down there. This doesn't surprise me. Be happy, yesterday my block where the gallery is located had a 50th Anniversary Barbie event... I wanted to shoot myself. Do you realize how many people come out of the woodwork for that. Oh wait a minute, I forgot I was posting on Skullbrain... nevermind |

Shooting in a store? Here in L.A. we call that celebrating another Lakers championship. |

Why does this not surprise me? The Wal-Mart close to my house isn't so bad, but once I stopped at the Wal-Mart near my office (a place you DEFINITELY don't want to be after dark) and it is clearly set up for dealing with a very different clientele. Anyway, it seemed like everything was nailed down in the electronics dept.. it's common to have video games in a locked glass cabinet, but here All current cds, dvds, EVERYTHING was locked up. the displays consisted of b/w photocopies of the front of the DVD or cd. which you had to ask a clerk to get for you if you wanted one. They would then carry it to the cash register and make you pay before you ever touched it! |

This is exactly why I am mildly happy that I'm agoraphobic and have not been out in three years. My "irrational fears" of getting on the business end of something bad are not as irrational anymore. No joke. |

Doesn't sound like anywhere I'd want to live. Wish they would start dealing with causes instead of coming up with more "solutions" to the problems. Bob- get out! It's a beautiful world out there! |

it's totally worth it to take the risk and go out, bob. if some shithead shoots the place up and you manage to walk away without any extra ventilation, you'll feel like a million bucks! and if you happen to catch a bullet, you probably won't be the wiser anyway. life on planet earth is fuuuuuuun! |

I know. I've just had too many wrong place at wrong time moments that I've developed a fear of pretty much all hell breaking loose at any given moment. Most of the bad stuff happens when it's quiet for me. Developed panic disorder and through years of avoidance and US health ignorance of panic/anxiety disorders it turned into agoraphobia. I just have to retrain the way I think and not assume that the worst case scenario will always happen, but sometimes it does seem that way. |

I was watching a comedian not to long ago and he was saying how he moved from LA to Edmonton (Canada) and was saying that he was on the phone with his friend and the were laughing because they couldnt believe that up here, they ACTUALLY report all the murders on the news! If someone is shot (or beheaded on Greyhound bus!) here it will probably make the news meanmistert wrote: This was at the Apopka location,... though they had another shooting at the one in Casselberry not too long ago. I have to admit the vibe definitely seems different in Canada. My wife and I were in Vancouver and people were so friendly it actually scared me. |

Was told by an LBPD officer that our downtown location has the highest theft rate of any WM in the U.S. Woohoo LBC, way to bring it! |

At least people in LB steal from Wal-mart. In that case crime isn't such a bad thing. |
