Post subject:  Ques. on Digital Copy included with Blu Ray Movies

I'm looking at purchasing Watchman on Blu Ray and noticed it comes with a Digital Copy of the movie that can be downloaded for either your Ipod or Windows Media players.

My question is: could you take that media and then burn it on a DVD? Reason why I ask is that I like to take DVDs on trips.

Thanks AV guy!

You should wait until the end of the year when the version with "tales of the black freighter" gets spliced in.

I bought wall-e when it first came out and apparently waited to long to activate my digital copy or some such nonsense.

It depends on what file format the digital copy is in. If it is in .wmv, .avi or a regular PC video file format, just google how to convert that to a viewable DVD (you'll probably need a decent DVD burning software like Nero). This link might help as well.

And Lash is correct, you definitely want to wait for this.

It's going to have DRM...so it's going to be a royal pain to extract the video files. You would then probably have to convert the files to play nice with your DVD burn software.

Since your paying for the Blu...might be easier to just download a quality AVI of the Directors cut and burn that. :?
