It's the only way I can actually watch the news. My personal favorites are #5 & #7. |

8's pretty good as well, sometimes I think auto tuning has been detrimental to music, then you see things like this, and you know what? It's a god send. |

I do think it's detrimental to real music but things like this it's PERFECT. I watched this yesterday and laughed until I cried, I wasn't sure if I'd feel the same today. I do. I wish they'd make more episodes. |

autotune is to vocals as digital amplifiers are to guitar. |

They made one for the Obama speech the other day. They put a new episode out every couple weeks, so I'm sure a new one is coming soon. |

I like that one. I like them all. Ok, confession time... aka look like a fucking retard time. What is and where is "sharday" from? In my defence, I don't really listen to much mainstream music, no rap etc and never ever watch mtv type stuff or listen to the radio. |

In my defence, I don't really listen to much mainstream music, no rap etc and never ever watch mtv type stuff or listen to the radio. This is from Urban Dictionary "Originally used to mean a young man, new to the game. By new to the game, I don't mean he just meant a rapper, but he just started selling crack, just started rapping, whatever, but even simpler it was a term used to mean just a person much younger than you. Now, commercial rappers have turned the meaning upside down to mean a 'fine female', apparently. "shorty's laugh was cold blooded as he spoke so foul, Only twelve trying to tell me that he liked my style" -NaS, 1994 "Shorty is shaking her ass on my Hummer with spinning rims, or something." -average commercialized rapper today " |

Oh! It's Shorty... I say that like I now understand it better... but I don't. So it's "shorty" not "Shardey" or "Charday" I totally don't her the "r" in there. Thanks Hank. |

"Shawty" would also be correct, particularly in the A-T-L. |

Nice link. I was a huge Sagan reader in the 90's. Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors (which he cowrote with Druyan) was a life changer, up there with Dawkins' The Selfish Gene and Morris' The Naked Ape.

Man, it's been years since I've read any pop science or evolutionary biology. But if one guy could pull me back in, it's Marlon Bran- I mean Richard Dawkins! |

Ha! It's a pretty cool book. Lot's of great Dawkins' metaphors, and examples. Plenty of beautiful photography too. In fact I wish he'd do a picture book,or coffee table format!! |

I'm only a couple of chapters into Dawkins' new book but so far it's fantastic. Of course it is! |

Now to start beating the dead horse. No new Auto-Tune the news yet (which sucks), but here's more auto-tuned Carl Sagan and friends. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGK84Poeynk |
