Lol- An episode of Jabberjaw has more meaning and logic in it. I love the the target demographic spokespeople- semi hot chick- senior lady - black guy - and and white nerd complete with nerd glasses. |

I actually watched that whole thing a few days ago. The only reason I didn't post it here to make fun of it was because a respected board member works for MS and I didn't want to offend him, but he's a big boy, so ... Worst. Ad. Ever. But it is entertaining in a perverse sort of way. The manipulative demographic thingy (geeky white nerd next door, likable older lady, sexy younger lady, friendly black guy next door, do you feel manipulated yet?) ... the bizarreness of suggesting that you have a Tupperware Party for Windows ... the hilariously nervous bad acting that makes it look like none of them believe what they're saying, and that none of them actually like each other ... oh lord, why was this thing released to the public at all? To make it even more of a disaster the friendly nerd guy actually kinda looks like the geek in the "I'm a PC" ads for Apple, yikes! The buzz on W7 is pretty good. I dislike Mac vs. PC arguments and won't get into that here, at least not much LOL, but as far as intended viral advertising goes, this thing is a beige dud. But you know, it's actually better than the original Zune "viral" ads, which made no sense at all and were just weird and unattractive. And while I'm being mean about a highly successful corporation, check out this old Steve Ballmer ad for MS-DOS. Hoo-boy, he is one jolly joker! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3SXxRJPKzU Geek. Rich, rich geek. |

Nothing says "party" more than installing new software and spending the rest of the night cursing out your machine. |

After all of the "Macs are the best" talk I got one and it died within less than a year, maybe a freak deal, maybe poor ownership (I'm kinda rough) but it's all the same to me. But I know how to fix my PC when there are problems and don't mind doing it, I built the damn thing. |

rockert wrote: All this windows advertising has made me want to buy a Mac. If you're near an Apple store, you should go down and play with them. I think Apple products are seriously great. You can still use Firefox or Safari to access Skullbrain. Only drawback is if you have some sort of unusual 3rd party software that only runs on Windows. But even then you can get virtualpc or bootcamp and install windows 7 and have a dual boot system if you want to go that far with it. |

Seriously that Microsoft video is the most cringeworthy thing i've seen in a while. Utterly clueless. Reminds me of the 'Magic Bullet Blender' infomercial. |

Can Microsoft go any lower? How to open a Microsoft Store? Just change the Apple Store by replacing its' logo. (warning: watching this video can lead to anger, frustration, confusion and lots of OMGs) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9Hk0ZCqRxg |

kidclam wrote: . (warning: watching this video can lead to anger, frustration, confusion and lots of OMGs) Is that what they do at Mac stores? Glad I never been. Annoying. I don't go to a Mac store, won't go to Microsoft's either. I just order parts and slap it all together. Things don't crash because I maintain my junk, like I maintain everything I own that's worth it. |
