They are remaking Plan 9 and I spit on your grave... Seriously, if there were 2 films that shouldn't ever be remade.
but then Cronenberg is remaking his remake of the Fly, so...

The most disturbing thing about this is mixing the Chinese into the new plot. Yeah, I know it's a way to make it contemporary, but to what end? China is not an enemy of the U.S. Are they wishing for retro-Cold War nostalgia? Because remaking Red Dawn outside of the Cold War threat seems ridiculous. Where is the tension coming from?

I actually was certain when I first heard about this that it would be Al Quaida that showed up as the enemy. LOL... glad I didn't bet money on that theory.
