http://www.mcachicagostore.org/main/ite ... =545&cat=7 Why does this thing rate as an art object? I don't get it. I'd rather see Hukkokudo or Gargamel or old vinyl recognized as art--but then again the absence of a large art following keeps it cheap(er). |

The MCA carries a lot of Kid Robot stuff and some Kubricks (400% and otherwise). The guy that started KR even did a lecture about toys at the MCA last year. I doubt the store will ever carry Japanese vinyl (Hukkokudo, Gargamel, etc), since the KR stuff is more accessible to a wider audience. Besides if you are looking for Japnese vinyl in Chicago, you would go to Rotofugi anyways. |

One shouldn't underestimate the importance of the Bearbrick. In my opinion it really is one of the most important "new" toys ever. |
