Just started working on my costume yesterday. First time in years that I've put any effort into halloween - having fun so far! The idea is to connect this to my shoulder as if I've had a zombie head grafted to me. I started out with a simple plan to be Homer Simpson, then saw styrofoam heads at Value Village and thought that I'd make my Homer idea a bit more halloweeny by being Homer with Burns' head grafted to his shoulder from one of the Treehouse of Horrors episodes. Then I just threw the whole Simpson thing out the window and went with a zombie head. If I can't attach it to my shoulder then I'm just going to spatter myself in blood and carry the head around. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Put in some lower teeth and lip last night, and some texture. Need to wrap this up so I can paint it before Saturday.

Whoa, nice. I'm either going to be Snake from Escape from NY (since my hair and stuble are at the right level) or a contestant from the awesome video game show "Video Power." It all depends on what I find at the thrift store this week. Last min costumes, much like last min Xmas gifts, can be the best if you're motivated. |

Thanks guys! It's been fun - haven't sculpted in a long while! Hoping that this gets me back into it. And it's Magic Sculpt, so no worry about putting styrofoam in the oven! God, that'd be awful! Actually, sometimes it smells like my neighbor up the street is burning styrofoam in his fireplace...I hate walking outside and smelling that crap! |
