I'm doing a custom on a vinyl figure and I made a hole that is a little big and want to fill it in.

What can I use that will adhere itself to the original vinyl without falling off or cracking and is also able to be painted?

Magic Sculp.
It's a 2 part air hardening epoxy resin. It should stay on the life of the toy.

I haven't used Magic Sculpt (the brand) but two part room temp air curing epoxy putty is what came to mind for me as well. I use Kneadalite or "green stuff" which is always handy to have around. Buy it in the roughly 3.5oz tubes, as the smaller quantities that come in strips are a terrible value.

A couple of those stores have it for about $13 which is a great price. Games Workshop sells 20g of the stuff for $10.

I'll second the Magic Sculpt - I got 5lbs for $30.
