I can't think of 10 albums worth thinking about listing as "best" of anything that hit this year. I'm straining to think of 5. I'm also super picky. I'm a hater, I'll admit it. But it's because I love so much. - Raveonettes "In and Out of Control" - Municipal Waste "Massive Aggressive" - Skeletonwitch "Breathing the Fire" That's seriously all I can think of that I liked this year. I might think of something else but everything else coming to mind isn't list-worthy to me. |

this year was a little weak as far as i'm concerned, but for now (still a few things i haven't listened to enough/at all yet): top 5 (order undetermined): japandroids - post-nothing the xx - the xx animal collective - merriweather post pavilion bat for lashes - two suns yeah yeah yeahs - it's blitz next 5 (same): jj - jj no. 2 isis - wavering radiant thermals - now we can see future of the left - travels with myself and another lightning bolt - earthly delights |

Definitely a lackluster year, though that seems to increase the older I get - not sure if it's just my jadedness or the music itself. However, these were good: Future of the Left: Travels . . . Mount Vicious: Don't Be A Baby, Come And Get It Kelly Clarkson: All I Ever Wanted Obits: I Blame You Plus a load of reissues, older stuff etc. Haven't heard the new Jesu records but I loved the first few. Have to check them out. |
