| Post subject: | Wii Region Free??? |
Whats is the deal on the Wii? I find so much conflicting info about it being region free. My wife and I bought one yesterday and I was wondering if I could play some US games or not, we are in Japan so I would have to play the Japanese releases but my kanji reading is terrible! Any help appreciated!

If you download the Homebrew app (onto an sd card) and install it, you can play any wii game region-free. You need to rent Zelda Twilight Princess in order to do the install though- long story. Pretty easy stuff moreorless. Though you have to re-install after a system update, though I have only had to do it once in the past year or so. I use it to play Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. |

there's a homebrew channel install now that does not require the zelda trick. actually if you just bought it, the zelda trick wont work anyway http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Bannerbomb |
