Post subject:  Missed out on my most wanted statue (Rant)

A statue is being made of my favorite anime cover art. The manufacturer said through e-mail that the statue is NON-SCALE, which would mean that it would be in a different scale than my other statues from the same license. When the piece went up for pre-order, I decided to pass because I want all my statues to be in the same scale.

Earlier today I found out that the Japanese section of the manufacturer's website described the statue as being in the same scale as my other statues. What. The. Fuck. I was actually online during the pre-order period, and that piece of information was omitted from the English section of the website

So now if I want the statue, I'll have to buy it off YJA with a hefty mark-up. To get this statue to my doorstep, direct from the manufacturer, I would have had to pay over $300. Who knows how much I'll have to pay for one now. I may have to pass on it altogether.

Bullshit.

Yeah, it's a sweet statue, and Berserk is a great anime/manga. I'm pretty bummed about missing out :( I wish they would've told me the correct information about the scale! This statue would have been mine...*sigh*

I don't know much about the "Berserker" armor that the character is wearing. I am reading the manga, but Dark Horse, the distributor of the English translation, is WAY behind the Japanese.

You could read the fansubs if you're still going to buy it, its much quicker and more up to date.

What other scale statues do you have?

I have three 1/10 scale statues that pretty much represent "The Golden Age" in Berserk. They are Guts: Hawk Soldier, Casca: Hawk Soldier, and Griffith: Millennium Falcon I. All three are Toycom/Art of War releases. This would have been my first non-Toycom Art of War statue. The Toycom releases are almost identical to the Art of War ones. They just don't have serial numbers, and they usually don't come in a really nice box.

Here's an old picture. The lighting is pretty crappy, and I forgot to insert Casca's sword
