With the world-wide failure of ASTRO-BOY at the box office, Imagi is folding, which doesn't bode well for the upcoming GATCHAMAN and proposed GIGANTOR (T-28) movies. One of the employees spills the beans on his own blog: http://felixip.blogspot.com/2010/02/good-bye-imagi.html |

Crap! Too bad they didn't decide to do the Tetsujin 28 movie first. Might have had a diff outcome. Or they just might have fucked up the other two like they did w/ Astro-Boy. I don't think there was any respect for the original material. |

I was so happy that some creative people from HK making it in the international film industry. However, I really didn't like Astroboy and what they did to it. It was just lame. Osamu Tezuka had so many cool ideas, story and also great design robots, why do they have to reinvent for the sake of a new audience? I just rewatched about ten episodes of the 80's Astroboy. Love it so much. I didn't know that Skunk was never in the English version, it was cut out. I wish to get the 60's version but not sure where I can find it. |

Imagi didn't really contribute anything worthwhile. TMNT movie is all I can think of right now, which was _OK_. |
