I don't know why I am promoting this cause I don't get anything out of it, but SXSW in Austin is a lot of fun. It is like a week long party. There is the "official" version that costs and arm and a leg or the unofficial version where people throw house parties and rent places out for free parties. It is like Austin turned into mardi gras or something. Free beer, free BBQ, loose women. In case you were debating it....it is a fairly decent experience |

I went from 1992 until 1999. Starting around 1997 I said I'd never go again because it just got too big. I'd love to go this year, but March is definitely my new hell-month. |

I have never gotten a wrist band was able to see at the shows I want, sometimes I had to get there 2 hours early but 25 bucks for show isn't bad for Japan Night, HXC show or a Sludge fest |

Ok, make this thread Official. Redhanded--- do tell of the HC shows you are hearing about. Guess I need to grab the chron! (also any metal ! Just read up on the SWAMP party. Sounds good. $40 bucks for the book? Not bad...at all. (I can rip the PUSHEAD's out and frame em up as alter ego doubles. Doppelganger. |

I am going to try to get Lindsey to bring other merch besides books. I believe there is a special hardback edition of Lure of the Swamp just for Texas, which will be on hand. |

Fucked UP is playing, I think a few Deathwish bands will be around. Word is that Seven Seconds and Gorilla Biscuits will be ITA for an after show, thats the last I heard since a month ago, I have been out of the loop in Shreveport LA |

That Red 7 is a pretty big venue. So the Relapse party might be easy to get into. |

I f'ing care Chad! Hanoi Rocks were one of my favorite bands in teh very early 80's. Bumping into Mike Monroe in the snow on a grotty West London street and having him sign my Chemistry folder will always be with me. Seriously!
