Hi ,

I created a frameset, named it and the doc, and saved all. Yet when I reopen DW,
I get messages saying " untitled Frame 2 does not exist" . How do you fix this? I can't find a definitive answer online- I got some possible causes of the problem, but no solutions.
Thanks!

are you opening the frameset page or the content? Also, it's way past 1995, why are you using frames?

I'm opening the framset; I turned off "Reopen documents upon startup", so at least the error messages don't pop up. As for the reason I'm using frames- a client wants it- I'd prefer not to deal with it myself. Thanks, Aquaphase.

Damn clients, they never know what's good for them. It may also just be dreamweaver confused about object naming. I've had it crap out on me with it's "autocomplete" functionality (which annoys me to no end).

You may want to try running your stuff through a validator to make sure one of your frame objects isn't unterminated.

Thanks , after some more testing, it looks like DW is getting confused about naming objects, in this case frames. When I renamed Untitled Frame 2 to something else, Dreamweaver was still looking for Untitled Frame 2. Very annoying, but I just change the name back. Thanks for your help.
