I only know his music from the title song to Samurai Champloo, but I loved that track from the first few beats. Man, I'm 36. Makes you think.

OK, The English translation was rough. What I got was he died in a car accident? Anyhoo he was taken at 36. Sad news for such a talented fellow who's just reached his prime. :(

Just turned 36 too. It's depressing to see younger people pass away. Gotta live life to the fullest!

I just saw this; he was such a great producer and I've tried to replicate his sound a few times. I really love what he did with instrumentals and how much depth he gave songs with just instrumentation most of the time. RIP.

I also really like what he did on Samurai Champloo and know him only for that.

I'm not a fan of hip-hop at all but what he did on the series had ad dub felling that I enjoyed a lot. It's half of the achievement of the series and it stands the comparison with Ghost Dog on this matter.
