Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but I'm glad to see it's finally going to happen.

Amazing- Akira is the greatest animation ever- probably why I am an animator today.

I recently picked up 2 awesome Akira Dougas that I still need to get framed.

I recommend this book to anyone who is a fan- It is incredible!

Although I am sure you can pick it up for cheaper than this crazy price, I think I got mine for about $40, but that was a while ago. Also the special edition japanese DVD release comes with a book of the original storyboards- equally epic!

Something that's been knocking around and now has a gallery space. They are doing some seriously cool things there.
