Trent Reznor's new project (it sounds basically like NIN with Trent's wife singing) is called How To Destroy Angels, and they just released their first video. I'm an old-school NIN fan, and I dig it. http://vimeo.com/11754815 |

Hope this will have an early NIN feel. I miss the rawness that Pretty Hate Machine and Broken had. Skeptical- but kinda dug this. |

It's pretty interesting stuff. On a side note, I just packed up about 25 NIN shirts to take to Goodwill today. It was actually easier than I thought it would be. |

there is a small article in the new wired magazine that describes the steps on how they made a song. |

The name of the band is really lame, as is the music and the clip. |

I think they stole the name from the early Coil single/ep. |

Has reznor been relevant since the downward spiral? Besides his whole I now look like a gay porn star with my ripped up body and leather sleeveless shirts? |

I'm an old school NIN fan... This song isn't anything special, but I enjoyed the video. I'm curious about the EP. |

xpollardx wrote: I think they stole the name from the early Coil single/ep. Stole is a bit harsh. Trent is talking about collaborating with Peter Christopherson from Coil on the project, and got the name approved before using it: Quote: Reznor went on to confirm the band’s lineup, which consists of himself, wife Mariqueen Maandig, and frequent Reznor collabortaor Atticus Ross. Peter Christopherson of Coil, the band for which How to Destroy Angels is named after, might also have a role in the band. Explained Reznor, “I obviously ran the name choice by him first and we’ve discussed him contributing to the upcoming material in one form or another.” |

Just comes across as a vanity project to me (and I like early nin) meanwhile: If you downloaded the multitrack file of "A Drowning" from remix.nin.com, please re-download it. A background vocal track was missing. http://twitter.com/destroyangels |

I thought it was pretty cool. I haven't really paid much attention to NIN since I was about 14, so it was refreshing to hear this stuff. I'll probably pick it up if I'm still moved by it upon its release. |
