gotta give props to lulubell for putting on this show. look forward to seeing what participants have submitted! (from their facebook page) Everyone has some sort of history with toys. Whether they only played with them as a child, collect licensed product tie-ins, or create custom vinyl themselves, everyone has a personal story connected to a favorite piece of plastic. Opening Saturday, June 5th, Lulubell Toy Bodega in Tucson, AZ, is going to celebrate everything mold injected with their month-long gallery exhibition titled “Toy (Re)Collections". Join Lulubell from 6 to 9 PM as they exhibit over 25 of the most exciting and cutting edge voices in the toy world. The exhibit will cover the entire spectrum from completely one-of-a-kind toys and customized vinyl, photographs and paintings, collection shots and prototypes. The idea behind this show is to really learn what each artist's personal history is with these fascinating things we call "toys" and to really hear the stories behind the people who make it happen. Music will be provided by DJ's jcat and Sync from azsessions.com. The show will run the duration of the month and end on June 29th. Exhibiting artists include: Frank Kozik Coarse UAMOU Lunabee Spencer Hibert Dehara Bwana Spoons Aaron Boy Bert S. Gatchalian Cris Rose Tone Tank & Scumlife jcat Layron DeJarnette Suckadelic toybot studios Mad Barbarians MONSTREHERO Nerderella Paul Kaiju VELOCITRON Mark Nagata Julie B Futureman 未来男 Kenzo Butler and many more! |

Nice pics jcat. Your photos of the Gamerudon and Zollmen dog are tops! It's very nice the way you've cropped them along with the perspective. |
