I like Seth Rogen (especially in Observe and Report), but really?

Even with all the explosions, kung fu, and hip music, it's still frumpy funny-man Seth Rogen. but i don't know...maybe he'll win us over with this one (but I doubt it for me).

but right now, the only reason to see this is Kato. Jay Chou is all right....but I'm still cringing at the site of this one for a few reasons. I gave the trailer a second look just to see if I missed something, but I didn't.

I've been sooooo curious how they were going to pull this off for so long. The trailer answers that question: Exactly what you'd expect in your most cynical mode. Formulaic Hollywood schlock. I'll probably see it anyway since I loved the TV series as a boy and don't really mind Rogen.

Vombie I think you and I are the only people who liked "Observe and Report." Maybe it tried too hard to be a twisted little flick, but it was a twisted little flick, and Rogen was painfully good in it.

Yes! Seth was always one of those guys that seem to just play himself in movies. then I saw O&R and he went upside my head. I think everyone in that movie really did a great job, but Seth killed it. lately I just throw in Black Dynamite or O&R for a laugh.

but yeah...Green Hornet...bad move.

Im on the fence.....Will prob just wait for the DVD.

I really did like Observe and Report too! (just to add to the record..)

I used to catch shoplifters @ Tower Records (DC, MD, VA).

We didnt wear ''uniforms" but watching this took me back to those wild days.

The idea of a Green Hornet movie has been in kicked in Hollywood foe at least 20 years- this is a disappointment. Its touted as an action/comedy and was written by Rogen and the guy who wrote Superbad. Kevin Smith is currently writing the very good GH comic, I would have been nice to get someone with a comic book background to be involved. Joel Shumacher, you have some competition!

I like Gondry and I like Green Hornet

I'll go see it. The story line looks slightly dumb, but I'll suffer through it. :D

I'm surprised this wasn't directed by Judd Apatow. And WTF(?), why wasn't Ben Stiller cast as Kato?
(As an alternative, I would accept Matthew McCounaghey as the Hornet, only if he were hopelessly and happlessly chasing for the affection of Kate Hudson.)

Anyone know anything about Seth Rogen's "japanese vinyl" collection? Heard him on the Adam Carolla Radio Show about a year ago being interviewed for the "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" movie and when asked what his hobbies were outside of smoking weed he said collecting japanese vinyl toys was one of them.
