There's a lot of game threads, so I thought this would be OK to ask here. Someone just gave me an original xbox (not a 360) console, but I have no games for it. What are some of the best xbox games worth picking up? I like all sorts of game types. Thanks for the help. Edit: Well, I found these two websites. Psychonauts and Beyond Good & Evil are two of my all time favorite games on any system. They were both released on other consoles as well, but the Xbox versions will be a bit better in the graphics/load time department. Panzer Dragoon Orta is also excellent, as is Jet Set Radio Future. If you haven't played Silent Hill 2 yet the Xbox version has a few extras not found in the original PS2 release. There are a ton of other great games but those 5 really stand out as my favorites from the era. I actually had to pick up a replacement for my original Xbox recently. After many years of heavy use, it started having some issues... |

BLACK from EA games is one of my favorite FPS ever. you can probably find it on le'bay for $10 or so. |

A big second on Psychonauts. I've replayed that game about 3 times. I'm a big fan of the Bloodrayne games as well. Oooh, Jet Set Radio Future is a hoot as well. I've got about 2 1/2 years of "Original XBOX Magazine" demo discs anyone wants them (I sure as heck don't need them anymore and they are just taking up space). Just PM me your address and I'll drop them in the mail. |

All game companies care about is their metacritic score. http://www.metacritic.com/games/xbx/scores/ There are tons of games out there but it all boils down to what you like to play. |

Beyond Good and Evil was an awesome game. So disappointed that the teaser for a sequel we saw at E3 two years ago is just that, a teaser. I hope they haven't completely abandoned the project. =( |

I'll jump on the Psychonauts bandwagon. That game was amazing (and so disappointing in sales figures). It's a shame it didn't do better sales-wise, it was such a blast to play. I'll second Beyond Good and Evil as well. |

Thanks for all the suggestions. I already have a number of these coming in the mail. The only problem is that I just hooked up the xbox and found its not functional! Guess I should have done that first. Now it looks like I'm shopping for an xbox too.
