Katsuhito Ishii is one of my favorite directors. Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl, and Taste of Tea are also great films by him. I wish they would release Yama no Anata and Sorasoi domestically. If none of those films sound familiar, I'm sure you have seen his work in Kill Bill vol.1, he directed the animated scene in the movie. |
