Windows went belly up, but I managed to reinstall it without writing over my C drive. Now, I have to reinstall my software. I have some CDs like the printer, Microsoft Word, etc...But I have no sound. How do I figure out what sound driver I need? |

try belarc or siw to find out all the details of your machine's innards. if you have a dell, you can also enter the model/key into the site which will take you to its support page with specific device driver downloads. good luck! |

If you right click on My Computer and hit properties. Then click on the device manager. You should be able to find what sound device you have. |

If you manage to keep all you files form My documents just click on the Itunes icon and hold the Shift key and a window will pop up with 3 options: quit, choose library, Create library click on choose library, then a new window will show up, just go to my documents>My Music>Itunes, and choose the Library file and you will have everything restored as you left this is useful if you wish to keep your music/library in a external drive or to have more libraries hope this help |
