I think you meant to say in 14 years. Didn't like The Green Album and then just gave up listening to them after that.

That State Farm jingle does bring back memories of the glory days of Weezer, when Matt Walsh was around.

It's Pink Triangle. This is not up for debate. On a good day I might give you Buddy Holly.

It's Matt Sharp. Mikey Welsh played bass for the Green album and toured with them for a bit after Sharp left.

Dude, I disagree. It's totally debatable. Especially if you include B-sides and soundtrack stuff from the Blue & Pinkerton years.

How a band can so consistently disappoint so many of their fans yet still continue to maintain their interest is a mystery to me.

Wow, this is sadly true. This jingle does indeed bring back memories of early Weezer.

In my opinion, anything before The Red Album is good in my book.

I'm just bustin' balls. I don't even have Weezer B-side stuff.

I've always been on the fence with Weezer. Here is the best thing Rivers Cuomo did:

Cuomo is a d-bag, and I think Pinkerton in general is the best thing that Weezer ever has or ever will do. The whole damn album, start to finish, no bad tracks.

I remember going to see a TOOL show, and Mike Patton's band "Tomahawk" was opening, and the fans weren't having any of Patton's typical nonsense and noise so the crowd booed him... He got annoyed and started saying "Hey guys, Weezer played here yesterday- boo them. Boo Weezer!"

No one would boo weezer... the crowd started booing him by name. So I guess you could say that they are at least better then Mike Patton's side project Tomahawk... ;) But thats like saying weezer is better then a kick in the groin. I never got into Weezer, the only song I have any clear recollection of is the one with the video like "happy days", and I don't even know the title to it.

I prefer Tomahawk to Weezer. I also prefer groin-kicks (giving or receiving) to Weezer. I'm just not a fan and never ever have been. I'm only posting here to support Tomahawk and groin-kicks, not to crap on Weezer. Carry on.

Okay, I'll be the guy who comes in to defend the past few years of Weezer. I'll admit, you really have to drudge through some garbage to find them, but there's some good songs out there. You're going to have to actually have an open mind to listen to these, and you should listen to them the whole way through. But if you do, I think you'll realize that these are all good songs.

And for the record, I've been listening to Weezer since I heard Buddy Holly for the first time in 10th grade back in '95.

Oh, but go ahead and forget about the newest record. That one and Maladroit don't seem to have the hidden gems on them.

forget Weezer. I'm all about The Rentals and The Special Goodness--at least their older stuff.

I can't check the youtube links at work, but if one of those songs is Friends of P, I agree, seeing that video made me realize Rivers has no talent, and my post above about the d-bag thing.
