I'm trying to organize a sale to raise money to donate to Japan. Check out my blog post for more info.

Thanks!

Yes, this will take time, but it's good way to supplement standard Red Cross donations. There is always need after the media blitz dies down & initial contributions, so count me in.

I can see your point, but I know the Haiti relief that the Red Cross rounded up went extremely slow with distributing the money. Once the toys start to come in, I'll add them to the sale site to keep things rolling. Like meanmistert said, once today's/this weekend's media blitz calms down we'll still be collecting money for the donation.

This is a good way for those of us facing our own financial difficulties to be able to give a little more.

(and will undoubtedly produce some amazing pieces)

I'll contribute too.

that's a great way to put it. I'm also one of those people who would like to contribute more but just don't have the funds to do so right now. I'll also be sending you a PM too.

Can we do drawings/paintings instead of custom toys?

people are so caught up on painting toys when the board has a lot of talented artists that don't paint toys.

Sure can! Since I'm a customizer my head kinda went there first, but I definitely don't want to shut down any creators who would like to contribute. Especially if it can help bring in more donation $$. Shoot me an email that's on the blog post so I can add you to the email I'll be sending out on Monday with more details about the sale.

Thanks!!

Alright, who's getting excited for this sale?
Just a little over one week until the deadline for submissions...
I can't wait to see everyone's goods posted!

Here's a preview of the header (a collab between me and Paddy C.) for my Pygmon custom:

Hey Troy: maybe you've already posted this somewhere else and I missed it, but I was wondering if you intend to have all pics up a couple days before the sale opens on 4/22... please let us know here, when you can!
Thanks for all you're doing on this!

We're raising money this weekend with Mr. Haruo Nakajima, the original Godzilla, at the Monsterpalooza convention in Burbank. We have some event-exclusive items for Mr. Nakajima to autograph, and a large portion of the proceeds will be going to the Japan Society's Earthquake Relief Fund! Read more about the show, here: http://augustragone.blogspot.com/2011/0 ... zilla.html

That looks great!

I'm going to try and post most if not all of the pics in my blog. I've started the shop and I'm hoping to get more stuff soon so I can keep building. Thanks again!!

I should get my prints some time next week or the week after. Printing done by fellow boardie, lurker. I did something non-kaiju but appropriate for Japan.

update?
I've only seen a couple people post stuff they're working on or have sent in. My stuff is in transit from Monster Worship and I'll probably get it this week if not next week.
