So, I thought some of you might dig this. An artist friend of mine by the name of Len Bellinger (some of you may already know) has been part of the various Topps Star Wars collector card releases over the past few years. As well as the various Suckadelic projects. Anyway, he just finished up his batch of sketch cards for one of the next series and instead of just knocking them out he came up with a great idea as you can see below in the side by side I put together;
His inspiration is from the south rose window at the Chartres Cathedral in Chartres France. It's not exact, but I think you can see exactly where he was going with it.

Really great way to be thinking outside the box here and fusing pop culture with something very traditional and highly respected in the art history realm. Will be really cool to see if someone tries to find all those sketch cards to recreate the rose window.
