I guess I really can call it gun wavin New Haven now.... Does anyone else live in the top 10 list and do you really think it lives up to the name ? I want to say no for me, but with 7 shooting in the last 48 hours and my car getting robbed last week I guess it's stating to live up to it's title. |

And seriously think about coming out west. Better place to start a family. |

Rich, the area you live in seemed really nice and safe compared to where I live. Moving is always an option but it would be a bit tough since it just won't be you moving...and you'll miss the pizza (I still gotta go back and visit you guys and try that other pizza place). |

I use to ride a train through New Haven ten years ago, when I lived in NYC and visited my G/F in Middletown at Wesleyan. I think it was scary then, or am I thinking Bridgeport? Buffalo is not much better BTW, I think we had 60-70 murders last year. |

personally I think cleveland and oakland should be higher on that list, even in nice areas bordering cleveland the scum bleeds in like it's a hunting ground, I say viva vigilantism |

My block is indeed good, but thats because its part of the histotic district. Bert, it was cold then remember. Where I took you that night is called the wild west ! If it was summer it would have looked a whole lot different. And chris I'm betting your thinking of B Port, it's pretty much what New Haven would be like without Yale. |

I've roamed around New Haven a couple of times because I have family in Hartford, and it didn't seem to bad. Then again, a lot of the time I was roaming around Yale. |

I went to New Haven last year to get tattooed. And just driving around in outta state plates, I was getting looked at by EVERYONE on their porch stoops. Did not feel safe. And I grew up in East Side San Jose where there is nothing but gangs. But, ended up going to a local strip club full of gangsters and everyone was super nice. Got a free shot of parton!!! So looks can be deceiving.... but be safe and smart. |

Stay safe Rich! Down here in my sector, we have some shitty areas. South East D.C. is a huge one. Berry Farms (also in DC), they dont sell Berries there either homie, try PCP and crack... You have other pockets of DC that are pretty scary. Then you have P.G. County MD....AKA "Plead Guilty" County, or "Pistol Grip" County. The PG Hospital E.R. is known by many as the "Knife and Gun Club". Because that is the majority of their cases; Gun Shots and Stabbings.. Is Darien CT still on the safe side? I know its more Mom and Poppy as far as stores go. (no walmarts, or other corporate behemoths are allowed in Darien) |

The most dangerous intersection in the country is five minutes from the house where I grew up: http://articles.cnn.com/2001-06-27/us/d ... n?_s=PM:US |

San Jose is WAY to boring to make any list. Anyway..I saw several different lists...one list has St. Louis at #1 and Flint, MI at #4 and then another list has Orlando, FL and Birmingham on it. Seems like there are a lot of 'dangerous' cities lists. |
