don't laugh. i started (VERY SELECTIVELY) buying Living Dead Dolls recently. Many are corny, but I am attracted to the gore and the creepiness. They are also amazingly good quality for US toys, and I have a lot of respect for the research that Ed & Damien put into them,

ie: the zombie one is named dawn & her date of birth is the release date of Dawn of the Dead. "Sheena" is the punk looking one and she shared Joey Ramone's birthday. There is a doll named dahlia who is cut in half and her birth date is the date of the black dahlia murders, there are also dozens of other references to horror movies, punk bands, etc. that probably go missed by the average mall goth who buys these,

But i think the guys behind them do know about some cool shit, and do it in a subtle and classy way. anyway...I got the jason SDCC exclusive, and the other is an older doll that i've been trying to find for months online, and picked up at original retail price at a random booth. probably one of my most exciting finds of the con. "Bride of Valentine" if only for the fact that i didn't have to fight the ebay prices and other buyers for her.

The Jason doll is great.

They're pretty creepy but not as creepy as Blythe, she gives me the willies!

I was going to make some joke about little goth girls but realized it wouldn't have been that funny.

Oh great! No sleep for me tonight!

Those remind me of the paintings on the wall at my pediatrician. Late 60's big headed sad eyed she devils.

On a serious note, the detail on the clothing and accessories is pretty impressive.

I have a disturbingly large collection of 1/6th scale military models(translation: boy dollies with guns) so I can appreciate high quality miniature textiles.

well, the detail on the one on the left is beyond belief. The clothing is designer, (Pom Ponette). http://www.narumiya-net.co.jp/brand/jcPp.html
She cost $300 retail, and goes for quite a bit more on the aftermarket because of all the detail. but the tiny textiles on the regular releases is always great too!

also, i am certain that i have some pictures like the ones you are describing, but the she-devil aspect sounds like i'd probably LOVE them. haha.
